Terms & Conditions for Paper Train Tickets
These Terms and Conditions apply to all relations between H-TEAM, s.r.o., operating under the brand Czech-Transport.com and Schedules.Czech-Transport.com (hereinafter referred to as the Company), and any person purchasing or using its services (hereinafter referred to as the Customer).
Definitions
- The Company: H-TEAM, s.r.o., operating as Czech-Transport.com/Schedules.Czech-Transport.com.
- The Customer: Any person purchasing or using the Company’s services.
- Ticket: A paper travel document issued by the Company and shipped to the Customer.
- Reservation: A seat, berth, or couchette booking, which may be issued separately or together with a ticket.
Scope
These Terms and Conditions govern the purchase, delivery, cancellation, exchange, and refund of paper train tickets ordered from the Company, and the obligations of both the Company and the Customer.
Placing an Order
- Paper tickets may be ordered up to three months in advance for most connections.
- The Customer must provide accurate and complete personal details (full name, address, email, telephone, and if applicable passport or ID information).
- By placing an order, the Customer accepts these Terms and Conditions in full.
Ticket Types
- a) Ticket and reservation (recommended) – Valid for a specific train, route, date, and time. The Customer may not board a different train or interrupt the journey.
- b) Ticket only – Travel without a reserved seat or cabin. The Customer accepts the risk of standing if the train is full. Not valid on night trains or certain high-speed trains.
- c) Rail Pass reservation – For Interrail/Eurail Pass holders only. Possession of a reservation alone is not sufficient.
Prices and Payment
- By purchasing tickets through the Company, the Customer agrees to the stated prices. Subsequent claims are not accepted.
- Prices include the ticket value, applicable surcharges, and a non-refundable booking fee (5–25 EUR/person). Ticket prices may vary over time and depend on occupancy.
- Payment is due in advance by credit card or bank transfer. Orders are processed only after payment is credited.
- The Company’s prices may differ from those printed on the tickets.
Delivery Methods
Printed tickets must be delivered physically. The Customer may choose from:
- Nova Post delivery in Ukraine – up to 5 – 10 days, to home address or post office branch.
- DHL courier delivery to Ukraine – up to 14 days, insured, trackable, signature required.
- DHL courier delivery – 1–3 business days, insured, trackable, signature required.
- Regular mail (Europe only) – 7–14 business days, not insured, limited tracking. The Customer assumes full risk of loss or delay.
- Courier delivery to a Prague hotel/hostel – For Customers staying at least one night in a hotel with a reception desk.
The Customer is responsible for providing complete and correct delivery details. Incorrect or incomplete information may result in failed delivery, with no refund.
Validity and Use
- The Customer must present the original ticket and a valid ID when requested.
- Passenger names are not printed on tickets; they may be used by any holder.
- The Customer is responsible for verifying the accuracy of tickets upon receipt. Claims made less than 24 hours before departure will not be accepted.
- Lost, stolen, or destroyed tickets cannot be refunded.
Cancellations and Refunds
- Tickets may only be cancelled if they are returned to the Company’s office at least three working days before departure (seven days for group tickets).
- Refunds range from 30% to 80% of the ticket price depending on type and timing.
- Delivery fees, handling fees, and reservation costs are always non-refundable.
- Global Price (GP) tickets have stricter refund rules (30–50% refund).
- Pending orders (not yet printed) may be cancelled for a 15% fee.
Exchanges
- Travel date and time changes are possible only by cancelling the original ticket and purchasing a new one.
- A new delivery fee applies.
Claims
- If the service is not provided (e.g. train cancellation, downgrade), the Customer must obtain written confirmation from the railway staff.
- Claims must be submitted with original tickets and evidence within 60 days of departure.
- The Company forwards claims to the railway operator; decisions may take up to 90 days.
Special Conditions
- Seat/cabin/berth reservations: Required on night trains, recommended on day trains. Non-refundable once issued.
- Global Price tickets: Include reservation and fare in a single document. Refunds limited.
- Bicycles: Advance reservation required. Tickets non-refundable. The Customer is responsible for loading and supervision.
- Children: Certain age-related fare rules may apply depending on railway operator.
Personal Data
The Company processes personal data solely for the purpose of fulfilling orders, in accordance with Czech Act No. 101/2000 Coll. on the Protection of Personal Data. Data are never disclosed to third parties except as required for ticketing.
Liability and Limitations
- The Company acts as an intermediary and is not liable for the operation of trains or the quality of services provided by carriers.
- The Company’s liability is limited to the amount paid by the Customer for the order.
- The Company is not responsible for indirect damages such as missed connections, accommodation costs, or other expenses.
Force Majeure
The Company is not liable for failure to perform its obligations if caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, wars, epidemics, or government measures.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Any disputes arising from these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Prague, Czech Republic.
Language
In the event of discrepancies between translations of these Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail.
